The Hotel

Tyacks Hotel, Camborne, is located in the heart of Cornwall. We are situated just a short drive from Truro, St Ives and Penzance. Cornwall’s fabulous coastline and glorious sandy beaches are just a 10-minute drive from Camborne.

If you are visiting family in the area, here on business or just here on holiday, we have everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. All 15 bedrooms contain a Flat Screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities and everything you need for a good night’s sleep.

We are also pet-friendly and have our own resident cat, Angel who is very popular with all our customers & guests.

We have a variety of rooms to offer from singles, doubles and twins. All rooms are en-suite and are equipped with a flat-screen television, alarm clock radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee-making facilities. Car parking and a laundry service are also available. Unfortunately, there are no ground floor bedrooms and no lifts in the building; all rooms are on the first or second floor.

The Restaurant

The Tyacks day starts with breakfast from 8:00 am every day. Choose from light yet tasty continental breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and yoghurts or treat yourself to a sizzling full Cornish breakfast.

Our tasteful menu is served daily from 11.30am until 9.00pm and offers a selection of homemade dishes that combine all of your classic favourites, along with a few of our chef’s modern dishes which can be found on our daily specials boards.

Our restaurant and lounge bar combines the comfort of large bay windows, with the more formal yet inviting restaurant. Pleasant weather permitting, the hotel has a large beer garden where you can relax in the sunshine.

We are pleased to cater for any function, large or small – whether a birthday, reunion, wedding or dinner party we will make sure every detail is taken care of.

The Bar

Open to non-residents and guests alike, the coaching bar is open 7 days a week from 8.00am and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. With the idea to create a bar for ‘everyone’ you can always be sure to fit right in.

Relax with a coffee on one of our cosy leather sofas by day or get into the spirit and try one of our delicious cocktails. The bar stocks an excellent selection of bottled beers, Cornish cider, soft drinks, an extensive selection of wines and local St. Austell Brewery ales. For those of you looking for a bit of entertainment why not join us on a Saturday evening and party at the disco with our own resident DJ.

With 4 TVs and a 7ft projector screen the unicorn bar could also be described as a ‘sports lovers paradise’ as we show all live sporting events on Sky Sports TV – so keep a lookout for poster fixtures or ask for details. Apart from our fabulous heated patio area and large beer garden, Tyacks is famous for its generous Cornish breakfasts and classic homemade food available every day from 8 am. For more relaxed moments take a morning coffee in our lounge bar. The lounge bar is open from 8 am and combines the comfort of large bay windows, with the more formal yet inviting restaurant. The more dining orientated side of the pub, the lounge bar offers ample seating in a peaceful atmosphere.

*** Friday Night – is live band night, local bands playing until 12.00am and can be very noisy in rooms located over the main bar.

*** Saturday Night – we have a DJ at Tyacks with music playing until approximately 12.00am, rooms located over the bar are subjected to noise.

Conference Facilities

Situated in a peaceful converted 19th century out-house building, the contemporary meeting room can hold up to 30 delegates and is fully equipped with an overhead projector, TV, DVD player, flipchart and computer link.

From business meetings, interviews and training days to just small private functions, our conference centre is perfect for your needs. Let us know your set-up requirements when booking, whether boardroom, theatre or a U-shape and all will be ready for you on arrival.

Just a mile from the A30 and 5 minutes by foot from bus and rail links, we are easily accessible and also have a sizeable free on-site car park. A taxi rank is ideally placed just in front of the hotel.

As for food, whether you’re wanting a breakfast buffet to kick start your day, a buffet lunch whilst you conduct your business or something a little more formal from our extensive menu we are able to cater for your needs.

Please note that our Conference Centre is positioned on the first floor and that there is currently no disabled access.
