You do not need to hold any formal qualifications or have any previous plumbing experience to enrol. This course is perfect for anyone looking to enter the plumbing and heating industry and gain a recognised, industry-standard qualification.

This comprehensive programme combines e-learning with hands-on, in-centre practical sessions. The curriculum covers a wide range of essential topics:
- Core Plumbing Skills: Hand and power tools, cold water system installation, hot water systems, and abo
- ve-ground drainage.
- Health & Safety: All aspects of health and safety in the plumbing sector.
- Electricals: Essential electrics and safe isolation procedures.
- Regulations: Water regulations (WRAS) and hot water systems and safety (HWSS).
- Central Heating: Principles and practice of central heating circuits.
- Business Skills: Working practices, energy, waste, and water conservation.
- Building Services: Understanding of building services and structures.
The course includes full practical and theory training, on-site portfolio building, and all final assessments.
Qualifications You Gain
Upon successful completion, you will earn multiple key qualifications, providing a solid foundation for your career:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Installation and Maintenance of Plumbing & Heating Systems (IMPHS)
- WRAS – Water Regulations certificate
- HWSS – Hot Water Systems and Safety (including unvented hot water)
- EESI – Essential Electrics and Safe Isolation of electrical equipment
Course Structure & Duration
This flexible course can be completed in as little as 12 months with a total of two years for completion.

- Practical Sessions: Choose between two flexible options:
- Option 1: Attend one day per week for the duration of your course.
- Option 2: Book three-day blocks to attend every 4-6 weeks.
