The house consists of an imposing Victorian front addition to a 17th-century farmhouse. The self-catering apartment consists of the south-facing Victorian front and the more rustic Cider Barn. The Victorian part of the house retains most of the original features such as high moulded ceilings, marble fireplaces and wooden floors. The Period furniture matches the Victorian features although a modern kitchen and facilities have been added. The Cider Barn area incorporates part of the 17th-century farmhouse and the original cider barn with exposed beams and slate floors. Outside there is a new Hot Tub and patio area and 4 acres of glorious gardens which are open to the public once a year through the National Garden Scheme charity.

Five of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there are 3 additional bathrooms. Many of the bedrooms can be either large doubles or 2 singles, with additional beds in some of the family bedrooms. This allows us to host large groups of up to 25.

All the beds are high quality and previous guests have told us they are extremely comfortable. The furniture is mainly antique and in keeping with the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. The Victorian kitchen/dining room can seat large groups together with ample Royal Doulton crockery. The Cider Barn kitchen/diner is next to the loggia and is ideal for food preparation for cooking in the BBQ.

We are currently only taking mid-week bookings until the end of October 2021

or full weeks between November 2021 and April 2022 excluding Christmas/New Year.

4 Nights Midweek are priced the same as a 2 Night weekend.
Friday’s and Monday’s change over days.
No Smoking.
Pets by arrangement.
Linen and towels are provided.

We can sometimes accommodate smaller groups for a reduced rate during the week

Owners live on-site so any problems can be quickly rectified.
