Changing Lives through Football
As part of our mission to tackle youth homelessness with football, it is important to explain clearly to anyone that may wonder what football can possibly have to do with tackling homelessness within the youth of our country. Recognising that many young people who find themselves in the position of being homeless, do in fact experience that along with a deep sense of isolation and exclusion from so many other facets of every day life, people within the accepted norms, such as those living within what we all understand as a normal situation can never truly take on board.
Being part of something, for example, a football team which can take young people both physically and mentally away from unpleasant situations and provide a respite from the everyday struggle which many young people find themselves in, is a huge positive for them.
A sense of belonging, building relationships and most importantly cultivating a new confidence and feeling of self worth, is what the street soccer foundation is all about, giving to the homeless youth of our nation.
The building bricks that form the foundation of all of our lives are very simple, we all want to feel that we belong and that others value us , the street soccer foundation does exactly this for young people.
You can join us on our journey and help us to bring lifelong skills to vulnerable young people by joining our club.
