WFE’s B 737-800 simulator is a replica of the cockpit and flight characteristics of the actual aircraft. It has a visual presentation system that realistically replicates the flight profile at any one of up to 24,000 airports worldwide. Our clients have experienced flights into Innsbruck, Orlando International (including Disney World), the Hong Kong Kai Tak Checkerboard approach, Heathrow, Dubai, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Sint Maarten (where the landing just misses the bathers on the beach), and Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, among others. Customers can handle the controls from take off to landing, flying manually or with autopilot, guided by our very experienced instructors. Always an enjoyable, immersive experience.

The Spitfire – £99 PER HOUR or £190 FOR 2 HOURS (age 16+)

There are only 2 Spitfire simulators in the UK, and ours is one of them! The WFE simulator replicates the actual cockpit of a Spitfire, with full instrumentation and a realistic control column – the famous ‘Joystick’ – which incorporates a firing button for the machine guns. Flights commence after a thorough briefing by our instructor, to enable customers of any age above 16 to become an ‘ace’ pilot. Friends of the pilot can view the action in a nearby seating area. The Spitfire session can include a short period of ‘free flight’ when you get used to the controls, after which you will fly low – hedge hopping over the countryside – then be guided to perform some aerobatics – aileron rolls and even loops. You will experience what it looks like flying upside down over Dover. Now you will be ready to sightsee over London, spotting the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square. If you have the nerve, you can even try to fly through Tower Bridge. Next come the flights as a fighter pilot: historic air defence of England against German bombers, firstly against those attacking Dover, next against formations attacking London, then finally you will be dogfighting with Messerschmitt 109s. If you shoot some down you will get a certificate proving it.
Go back in time to the 1940’s and fly the Supermarine Spitfire over the fields of Southern England during the Battle of Britain. You will step back in time to a 1940’s war room where you will get a scramble to intercept the Luftwaffe.
Engage in combat with the German bombers or dog flight a Messerschmitt 109.
1 hour flight is starting in the sky and attacking the enemy.
2 hour flight includes tuition on taking off, engaging the enemy and returning to base for an approach and landing.

We operate a Boeing 737 – 800 NG simulator and the Iconic WWII Spitfire Simulator complete with Battle Of Britain software. The Boeing 737 simulator is fixed based and a replica of the actual aircraft, it has a 180 degree panoramic screen and uses Prepar3D V3 Professional. The simulator software was designed by the aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin it was initially designed for military training now it is widely used for commercial training.

 

Warwickshire Flight Experience is located in Cutlers Farm Business Park. It is approximately 10 miles from Stratford Upon Avon and is widely accessible from both the North and South of the UK.

A very wide range of aircraft have been flown by our crew ranging from a Boeing 737- 800 to the Boeing 747-400.
