It’s essential to create a buzz (yes, the pun is intentional) around your event and this is where so many organisations fail. I do this in several ways dependent on the event:
Regular promotion on social media
We live in a time where what we see is more important than ever and most of it is on social media. Visual teasers and regular reminders about your event to your followers is essential.
Consistent Email marketing and follow up
Is it just me or do you get a plethora of emails? We all delete emails without reading or get round to looking at it after the fact. Make sure your email goes out at the right time and a few times before your event and when it does make sure it’s easy for the recipient to register.
A Unique Service
There’s a lot to be said about going back to basics. How rare is it now to receive a invitation in your post? How excited are you when you get one though?! Let’s be honest a lot of us attend business events so much that they are coming out of our ears so make it stand out. Think outside the box. A visually impressive venue, a high profile, respected speaker, an engaging activity.
