Join us for a Black- Tie Gala Dinner at Leeds Castle in beautiful Kent, the perfect setting for a pre -Christmas celebration.
A weekend fit for a King or Queen. Steeped in history the first fortress, which became, Leeds Castle was built in 1119. In 1278 it was bought by Eleanor of Castile, and it served as a Royal Palace for her husband King Edward I.
Over the years it was improved by the various Royal inhabitants, but it was Henry VIII who turned it from a fortified stronghold to a magnificent royal palace that his first wife Katherine of Aragon could enjoy. Leeds Castle became one of the great country houses of England and a centre of lavish hospitality for leading statesmen, European royalty and film stars.
Our Christmas at the Castle will be a festive and elegant evening in an exclusive setting as we transport you to a time of style and refinement.
With the Castle adorned with elaborate Christmas decorations, twinkling lights, wreaths, garlands, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree you and your fellow guests will arrive and feel as though you are joining a country house party. From 6pm onwards the public depart, and we have exclusive use for the evening. After you have checked in to your room there will be plenty of time to explore before changing for dinner. The evening will start with a Champagne reception in the library, where you will be entertained by carol singers before we move through to the Castle Salon for our Festive Feast. Your three-course dinner with accompanying wines will feature seasonal ingredients and traditional holiday dishes.
To enhance the festive atmosphere, there will be live entertainment between courses from our talented musicians. Perfect to get you in the celebratory mood. After dinner relax in one of the drawing rooms or take to the dance floor or even have a flutter at the casino tables, but don’t worry you will not loose your shirt as it is ‘fun’ money only.
Accommodation
Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay overnight in the Castle’s prestigious bedrooms. Immerse yourself in history and indulge in a truly unforgettable experience filled with elegance, opulence, and enchantment. Check in is from 3pm and check out at 10am, after a full English breakfast served in the Castle Dining Room.
