California Meadow provides the ideal venue for a homely, rustic wedding.

The campsite, with its sweeping views of the sea and Isle of Wight beyond, is a mass of colour in summer and colourful shrubs, decorative plants and pond add interest in the shoulder seasons. Civic ceremonies for up to 80 guests can be held on-site. Marquees can be placed in meadows with views of the sea.

Combining accommodation, ceremony and party venue, California Meadow is a highly adaptable and attractive choice for weddings.

Stag & Hen Parties, Organised Groups and Club Meetings

The owners do allow single sex parties such as stag and hen parties, get-togethers and organised specialist visits such as climbers, walkers, divers etc. California Meadows is located only a mile from Swanage town centre, with its public houses, cafés and late nightclubs, allows visitors easy access to entertainment and activities throughout their stay. Bournemouth, with all it provides, is another popular destination regular visited by guests staying at the meadow.

The campsite is perfect for big groups to hold their events and be accommodated all on one site. The owner/manager has access to a wide range of activities and services that can be provided on-site or nearby, including caterers, activity organisers, guides, tutors, water sports, arts and crafts.
