THE CONCEPT
‘Africa Comes To Bournemouth’ (ACB) 2018 is a concept created by Ebi Sosseh (Sosseh
Consultancy), Cheikh Diop (Afric’Arts) and Tony Morrison (Blunt Promotions) to create an annual
a celebration of African and Caribbean Culture through a day of Arts, Crafts, Music and Dance in
Bournemouth.
The main purpose is two-fold; to provide an opportunity for the local African and Caribbean people
to celebrate our culture and to introduce our rich heritage to the wider population with interactive
events.
We will be working with local groups and artists so as to create a ‘family and community’ feeling.
We will have Crafts workshops, Storytelling, Carnival Dance Performances and Workshops, Live
Performances from the likes of Bourne Tribal Drumming group, African Food stalls, Jerk Drum,
Caribbean Cakes, Tropical Juice bar and stalls selling clothes, paintings and artefacts.
THE OPPORTUNITY
