David Mercado has doubled his investment in a complementary currency designed to enhance a businesses performance by turning spare capacity into extra revenue.
David, who started out in business in the 1980’s selling construction tools on the markets in the South East, became involved with BBX in January 2015 as he was excited about the benefits the BBX facility brings to small and medium sized businesses.
When asked about the benefits a BBX account brings to a business David explained “most businesses have spare capacity, which is the ability to service more customers within existing infrastructure – if they don’t fill this up they lose the revenue potential forever. BBX fill this up with new customers who trade with each other using BBX Pounds at normal prices. The result for a user is massive, improving cash flow, growing their company and enhancing profits.” Reflecting on his past businesses David said “as a retailer in the past I experienced slow moving stock which was a real issue and I got frustrated having money tied up and then having to discount the product – I think a BBX account would have really helped me then which is one reason I got excited when I came across the company through a friend”.
Excited about the new expansion David said “the last 18 months has been terrific and I have been able to assist many businesses in a unique way – one of my clients has improved cash flow by over one hundred thousand pounds! It is really exciting when you can give a business this kind of boost.” , asked what the increased expansion will mean locally he commented “I started off in the South Essex area but now, having the whole of Essex, I will be able to help more companies. I have also taken on a member of staff and am looking forward to relocating to bigger offices for the expanding team”.
