Ellis’s Story: A Life Filled with Courage, Love, and Light
In 2019, at just 5 years old, Ellis Edwards was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma which is a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. Over the next four years, Ellis underwent surgeries, chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, radiotherapy, and clinical trials.
Through every setback, Ellis smiled. He made memories. He loved deeply and lived fully and determined to enjoy every moment he could.
In August 2024, after finishing Year 6 and attending his leavers’ party, Ellis quietly and bravely said goodbye, having ticked every box on the list he made with his younger brother.
He was only 11.
Why the Ellis Edwards Foundation Exists
Ellis left behind more than memories — he left behind a mission.
The Ellis Edwards Foundation was created by his family to support the siblings and children left behind after losing a loved one. These children often feel forgotten, left to carry grief they don’t yet have words for. The foundation provides moments of light during the darkest times.
