BBX brings charities and businesses together to maintain an active CSR program. We believe that charities can utilise spare capacity in business to improve the world.
Sparetember raises an amount to be proud of!
The BBX community takes pride in encouraging many business like-minded individuals to achieve their goals, and so, every September we go the extra mile and have a whole month dedicated to BBX Angels Charities, known as “Sparetember”.
We are proud to announce that this year, we raised an amazing £38,525.00 for the charities within our BBX community, thank you to everyone who supported us throughout September 2021, donating items for our auction and bidding at our auction, not to mention those who continue to donate throughout the year.
For those of you who don’t know, businesses on the BBX platform trade with one another using BBX Pounds to order supplies or services for their business.
Throughout Sparetember, businesses on BBX are invited to donate their spare capacity to help charities across the UK. This could be anything from unsold hotel rooms, magazine advertising space to unsold hours for a bookkeeper.

BBX Angels want to help
Once a charity gets involved with BBX Angels they will be assigned an account manager, who will work closely with them to promote the charity to the BBX community with the intention of gaining donations. As well as, sourcing goods and services they require through the network, such as marketing support, infrastructure for events, accounting and finance support, to spend their donated BBX Pounds on.
Community Spirit
A community working with businesses and corporations to increase the amount of support they give to charities by ‘donating’ spare capacity or surplus stock.
Donations
When a company donates spare capacity, BBX Angels sell that stock within the BBX network. The funds generated from the sale are then donated to charities.
