WHO ARE CRUISE and TRAVEL HOLIDAYS?
We are an independently owned, professionally trained travel company and organise an extensive range of Cruise and Travel solutions on behalf of friends, families, couples, solo and group travellers, as well as colleagues, and charity organisations for holidays, celebratory events, seminars, conferences bucket list and special interest trips, to name just a few.
- What do you do? We listen to what people say about their travel needs, we research, communicate and advise on options, then follow through with the whole booking process, as required.
- How do you do this? We have direct access to most of the major Cruise and Travel providers with preferential rates, often with real time pricing, and in addition we arrange promotions for our members to take advantage of. Also, we are fully ABTA and ATOL bonded and operate under the umbrella of The Co-Op Consortium which is part of the Midcounties Co-Operative Limited.
- What would I have to do? Firstly, being interested in travelling it’s very likely that you are keen to explore and try different tastes and cultures, maybe get the family together for a special occasion, bring colleagues together for training or a seminar for example. As a licensed member of the Cruise and Travel Holidays team you could share your experience and knowledge with friends, family, colleagues, members of your club and potentially many of your other contacts and customers and help them with their travel plans too. Perhaps you have hobbies and special interests, inside and outside of your “day job” which could provide a launch pad for providing travel solutions for other like-minded people?
- How would I do this? Our initial and effective training is tailored to your needs,” not just a one size fits all”. Explore and learn mostly online at your own pace, in your own time, when and where you want to and most of all you will be developing a satisfying, as well as rewarding lifestyle and having fun!
To get you up and running within 90 days we have:
A plan! the 90-day plan, with access to, and how to use Our Systems, travel specific terminology Product Management for Package Holidays, packaged products, Single supplier holidays, Flight, Hotel, Cruise and Groups travel and more!
Regulations, and compliance are covered by ATOL, ABTA the Package Regulations and GDPR act, 2018.
Administration and back-office support. All your client’s information is data protected, and all financial transactions are only accepted through our secure processes and procedures. All monies go into our travel trust account at Mid-Counties Co-Op. The Administration team take care of all your back-office needs, including, but not limited to ticketing, and functions as required by the consortia and or supplier.
Technology Systems – Access to “The Anchorage” our customer relationship and communication system,
Your website – you can set up and maintain a new Cruise and Travel Holidays website, use a different name or maybe add to your existing website so long as it is compliant with the Cruise and Travel Holidays terms and conditions.
Professional Indemnity Insurance – This is a must have. We do have a group scheme, but you may wish to purchase this individually.
CLIA Membership – The Cruise Line International Association Membership for Cruise Specialists.
We are all Cruise Specialists, so we initially enrol you as a member of the Cruise and Travel Holidays Group as it is a significant and invaluable training tool for all things cruising. It also keeps you up to date with industry news, offering ship visits, cruise line product training and several annual conferences, the annual River Boat Conference March 2025 is in Budapest.
Invitations Familiarisation (FAM) Trips, Incentives (Agent Rates) – We receive invites to new ship launches which sometimes include an overnight stay on board, and Familiarisation trips which we share and encourage you to take advantage of. You will gain access to incentives provided by our suppliers. This includes cruises, flights hotels, and other preferential rated travel products.
What do you Offer Cruise and Travel Holidays Lifestyle Licensed Membership is for individuals who have an established customer base or business, not necessarily in travel. If your Company wanted a Company Membership License, please just get in touch.
The Price and Book Service, for genuine enquiries that you have generated, you inform Cruise and Travel Holidays Head Office, and they will price this for you. You maintain the relationship with your contact, throughout the whole process and if your customer then wants to book, we do all that and of course you are learning at the same time. The commission earned on the booking once travelled is then split 50/50.
Further Commission – If you are doing your own pricing and bookings, because you are now doing more of the work the split is 60/40 up to 80/20 depending on annual gross turnover.
What does it Cost? There is a “one-off” non-refundable set up fee, of £2500BBX and a monthly support fee, of £55BBX to help maintain and provide our many functions and to support you. We do reserve the right to review the fees on an annual basis.
