DORSET MUSIC MAGAZINE – The one-stop guide for the music scene in Dorset!
Dorset music is a free magazine featuring the local areas music listings, interviews and editorials including guest columns and previews for the upcoming months in the Dorset music scene.
At present we are distributing 5000 copies a month, areas include heavy targeting in Bournemouth, Boscombe, Pokesdown, Southbourne, Winton, Poole, Upper and Lower Parkstone and focussed targeting in Wimborne Minster, Broadstone, Christchurch, Holton Heath, Wareham, Wool, Dorchester, Swanage, Weymouth, Bridport, as well as on our social media, a website and mailshots.
The online version of the magazine gets around 2500-4000 impressions each month.
We are also hoping to expand our reach further, having already done so from the previous owners, and also the number of copies distributed as time goes on, having from July 2016 started distribution in Christchurch. The big venues in Bournemouth we are in include the O2 Academy, Anvil Bar, mr kyps, Halo, The Old Firestation, 60million postcards, Canvas, Absolute Music, Freestyle Studios and loads more smaller venues which are hard to get your adverts into normally as a separate business, as well as countless shops/cafes. Since we took over the business in February the magazine has been more focused on the local scene and the people who make it work, as opposed to being dominated by the Southampton shows that it used to be filled with. With the lower price point and the new focus, I think you’ll agree that this makes the magazine much better value as an advertising tool than it was before.
We will also be supplementing the regular advertisers with previews, social media support (all regular advertisers become admins on the Dorset Music facebook page so you can post and set adverts up as Dorset music) and some feature / front cover content (on a rotation basis with the other regular advertisers) for no extra charge.
