With a lot more excitement for everyone! 2023 is the 51st anniversary of Pride in the UK with your help we are bringing 11 community Cornwall Prides to the whole of Cornwall in April, May, June, July & August 2023!
Cornwall Pride, now a charity registered 1191003, builds on the success of the last 16 years as a shining beacon of visibility and awareness of the LGBTQ+ and marginalised communities across Cornwall; however, we recognise that while visibility is important, it will take much more to make our Duchy a better place for LGBTQ+ & marginalised people to grow up, live and work in our beautiful Cornwall.
We are looking for partner and funding support as we facilitate the community and organisations within each town to celebrate, raise awareness and support the LGBTQ+ community and all marginalised people here in Cornwall. Alongside creating and sustaining peer-to-peer mental well-being social support & organisational/educational training.
We are the only organisation connecting the widest reach into LGBTQ+ community here in Cornwall, with strategic marketing reaching more than 2 million people per year across legacy & social media.
With you, we will bring to life the success of the Cornwall Pride in Truro, Newquay & the bus tour to 9 more towns in Cornwall by bringing Prides in Community!

- Falmouth – April 29th – Launch of Pirate Pride & standing in solidarity with the house crisis and homelessness
- Camborne – May 20th – Awareness of all intersectionality
- St Austell – May 27th – Supporting Well Being
- Saltash – June 3rd – Celebrating LGBTQ+ Creative Culture.
- St Ives – June 10th – Standing in Solidarity with Climate Action
- Bodmin – June 17th – Supporting LGBTQ+ people in/outdoor sports
- Bude – July 1st – Improving Younger Education
- Penzance – July 8th – Celebrating Alternative People
- Redruth – July 15th – Celebrating Celtic Culture
- Newquay – July 22nd – Supporting Human Rights & Trans Pride
- Truro – August 26th – Awareness of LGBTQ+ History & improving Adult Education

Is to create a cohesive, accepting and welcoming place to EVERYONE. Rather than Pride just saying ‘Pride’, we want Cornwall as a Duchy to shine within the country as an accepting, welcoming place, no matter what your background or who you are.

Cornwall Pride works to bring the entire community together, to support the LGBTQ+ community in one of the most rural parts of the country, and to ensure everyone is free to be themselves. We achieve this through our social media platforms, our events throughout the year and our values:
We work with many LGBTQ+ groups throughout the Duchy (county) and hold regular events in places that are accessible to all, promoting tolerance, and acceptance and providing safe spaces for people to come together, make new friends and enjoy being their true, authentic selves. Cornwall Pride is a community Pride where we support the entire region which otherwise has very little LGBTQ+ visibility.
Cornwall Pride is a charity with a board of trustees responsible for their own area of our operations. In addition, we have a management team and a broad working group of specialists and volunteers, all amazing people who create and deliver our events and social outreach.
Together we engage through our volunteer programmes and many unique events throughout the year with our partners such as The CHAOS Group, Black Voices Cornwall, Queer Kernow, Transparent Presence, Bude Pride, Safe Haven, Lowender Peran, Eden Project & Intercom Trust uniting the LGBTQ+ and marginalised communities here in Cornwall.

The Biggest Pride Organised Events in the South West – Cornwall

With the new addition of the bus tour, coupled with the new event ‘line-ups’ we received:
- Our biggest engagement with communities across Cornwall and beyond
In excess of 2 million social interactions on social media with us in the 2022 year more than doubling our following and with a minimum monthly reach of 220,000 people. - Cornwall Pride was again the largest celebration of diversity in Cornwall,
attended by approximately 70,000 people.
